What a week it had been – and definitely another one with a lot of “first”!
I am still overjoyed from the recent clergy gathering in Aptos where we really had time to bond as brothers – in prayers, meals and fellowship! As a new member of the band, I really felt really at home and blessed. Looking forward to more opportunities in the rectory, in church or offsite to get to know more these brothers I am honored to work with in the Lord’s vineyard here at Saint Raymond!
Back in the parish, we had our first Saints and Angels Festival where the youngest and cutest members of our community dressed up in their holy costumes last Saturday, All Hallows’ Eve! Such pure joy to see them and their families participating at the Mass and embracing the real meaning of Halloween!
Likewise, because of your continuous support and engagement, we are able to welcome last week the newest members of our team: Chris Erwin and Carmela Ongtengco! With our parish (almost) buzzing with activities again – observing safety and health protocols, of course – we continuously address our support needs, and are grateful for Chris and Carmela for desiring to be part of our team!
And finally, it felt like Day 1 here at the church campus last Monday as we welcomed back in school our Kindergarten to 2nd Graders, and our parishioners for the re-opening of the church for indoor Masses and adoration!
These are blessings made possible only because of your fervent prayers and unwavering support. (Shout out to so many of you who came and signed up as liturgy minister-volunteers for our weekend Masses!) In gratitude, we commit to continue doing what we are called to do as a community of faith here at Saint Raymond, and know that you always have our mutual support and prayers.
Peace and blessings,
Father Erick
