Dear St. Raymond Community,
I will be forever grateful for my 8 + years as your Pastor. As we know, I departed St. Raymond just after ‘shelter-in-place’ took effect, so there were no opportunities for a proper good-bye. All that was made up for on Saturday October 30th when I was able to return and be with so many of you to celebrate the 5pm Vigil Mass followed by a lovely reception on the plaza. It was a very pleasant evening, made warmer by heartfelt conversations with so many of you. They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder… The occasion absolutely made up for the missed opportunity back in March 2019, and perhaps was made even sweeter due to the delay. I’m grateful to Fr. Erick and his talented team who made it such a joyous and memorable evening for me. And thank you to the many parishioners who came out to pay tribute to me and our experiences walking The Way of Jesus together. Be assured of my continued prayers for all of you. I ask the same of you for me please.
With Much Love,
Fr. Lawrence D’Anjou
