GETTING INVOLVED

For more than 35 years, St. Raymond’s Catholic Church in Dublin has been operating a food bank to help alleviate hunger in our East Bay communities, including Contra Costa and Alameda counties, distributing food to needy seniors, veterans, and families. We also offer home deliveries for those without transportation. Since 2016 we have served more than 55,000 people. We expect to exceed 5,500 just in the year 2025. This is a reflection of growing food insecurity that has worsened since the pandemic and the subsequent economic downturn that is squeezing families.  We have over 50 dedicated volunteers who help run the food bank.   There is a myriad of volunteer opportunities from sorting food, picking up food, filling our boxes with food, delivering food and  distributing food on the third Saturday of the month. If you would like to get involved contact Maggie.  Maggie Ringle is on the parish staff and has been our Food Bank Director for the past 30 years.
