We welcome you and your little one to St. Raymond Catholic Church for the Sacrament of Baptism. Baptism is the doorway to the Catholic faith, the beginning of God’s grace in the Holy Spirit and the necessary first step on the way to salvation in Christ.
Infant baptism is celebrated for those under the age of 7, often within the first few months after birth. Formation/catechesis is required for those age 7 and older. If your child is 7 or older, please go to Faith Formation for assistance on sacramental preparation for your child.
For infant baptism, please review the Guidelines and fill in the Baptismal Request Form.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

You must submit ALL paperwork and proof of payment in person at the Parish Office or via email to info@srcdublin.org in order to schedule a Pre-Baptism Class and save a spot for the Baptism Ceremony.
At St. Raymond, we celebrate the sacrament of Baptism for children on the first weekend of the month as follows:
Saturday 10:00 AM, during our baptism weekend
Sunday 12:30 PM, within the Spanish Mass
The schedule may deviate slightly during special periods during the liturgical year such as Lent, so it’s recommended that you contact the Parish office to confirm dates and times. As a general rule, we do not schedule private baptisms.
If you have a child/teen who is between 6th-12th grade, we offer special classes through our Youth Ministry department. Teen baptism classes are offered quarterly. Please contact Susy Cano in the Faith Formation department for more information at scano@srcdublin.org or by calling 925-574-7414.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is for adults who are either unbaptized, baptized in a Christian faith, or baptized in the Catholic Faith and need to receive the Sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation.
If you select godparents who live a great distance away, they do not have to be present at the baptism. You may have a proxy fill in for the official godparents.
There will be ample opportunities for pictures after the service. During the service, we ask your help in keeping with the atmosphere of prayer by refraining from photography while the ceremony is in progress.
FEES FOR BAPTISM, we ask that you make a $100 donation to the Church to help cover expenses associated with Baptisms here at St. Raymond. Checks are made payable to St. Raymond.
A separate donation for the Priest performing the Baptism is encouraged and customary, ranging from $50 - $200. If making a donation to the presiding priest, please write a check made payable to them.
