First Holy Communion season begins!

Starting this weekend, we will have our Faith Formation students joining us at Mass to receive their first Eucharist! After months of preparations, thanks to their parents and our catechists, they have been well prepared. We are so BLESSED here at Saint Raymond’s to be part of their sacramental journey, and we commit to continue walking and living out the Faith with them. As seats are reserved for the communicants and their families inside the church, please plan to bring your own chair and dress warm, as needed be, should you not make it inside church because of seat availability. Thank you for your understanding.

Here is a video presented by Father Chris Alar, MIC, on the “Importance of Holy Communion”. As you watch it, may we together deepen our appreciation of and love for the Eucharist, and each time have a renewed fervor in our soul to make room for Jesus in our lives through the Eucharist we are able to receive with joy: youtu.be/gZK3sqihhOk

Finally, starting this week, we will have Confessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15PM to 5:45PM, aside for the regular 3:30PM on Saturdays. This is in response to the growing number of penitents desiring to receive absolution on a regular basis. Please take note, though, that on Tuesday and Thursday, we can only hear the confessions of the first 5-6 people in line, and on Saturday, maximum of 12 per confessor available. Also, we ask for your understanding when we have to stop the line at promptly 5:45PM on Tuesday and Thursday, and 4:30PM on Saturday to give the clergy time to prepare for the Mass. Should you need to schedule another time for confession, please feel free to directly contact the clergy for appointment.

Once again, thank you for your collaboration, generosity and prayers. Our community is indeed blessed!

Sono semipro grate,
Father Erick
