I was reading up on our patron saint, Saint Raymond of Penafort. I learned many great things about our patron saint. I learned that he was well educated and that authored several books on Canon Law. Aside from having strong academic skills, he was described as humble and obedient. He was also described as one who focused on being of service to others. This is something I have noticed in my short time here at St. Raymond. There are many who serve our parish in many ways, from serving on the Lord’s altar to visiting the homebound. This past Friday, I walked through Moran Hall and saw the St. Vincent de Paul group in action. They were preparing boxes of food for our brothers and sisters in need. This is a beautiful example of service and an important Work of Mercy. I wish to express a word of thanks to all who serve our parish in one way or another. If you are looking for a way to serve our parish, there are many opportunities here. To find a way to serve, read the bulletin, ask a fellow parishioner, or call the parish office.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
Love,
Father Mark
