This week, I will be away at a workshop for New Pastors/Administrators. I ask for your prayers. Know that you will be in mine.

Last week, I asked for prayers for students and teachers returning to school. This week, I ask for your prayers for the seminarians of our diocese who will begin a new year of formation.

On this topic of seminarians, I would also ask you to pray for vocations to the priesthood. This year, we have one new seminarian beginning formation for the Diocese of Oakland. This is great, but we need more young men to respond to the Lord’s call to serve as priests. 

Please pray for vocations to the priesthood.
