This week, we give thanks for the men and women who have served or are currently serving our country. If you have served, we thank you, and we pray for you and your families.

Father, on this day, we pray for your children who have served or are currently serving; protect them from all danger. We ask that You strengthen their hearts and endow them with courage; help them amidst their circumstances, and guide them to always trust in You and make the right decisions.

Bless those who bravely gave their lives for this country; grant them eternal rest.

And for those who have been left physically or emotionally wounded, we offer our gratitude and prayers, and we ask for the healing of their bodies and minds.

We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
