St. Raymond Food Bank

Thank you for your generous support of St. Raymond Food Bank’s 35-year mission to feed those in need in the East Bay, whether in the form of food donations, monetary contributions, service, or prayer.

The Parish’s generosity has fed more than 55,000 people since 2016.  This reflects the growing food insecurity that has worsened since the economic downturn, which is squeezing families.

Over 50 dedicated volunteers help run the Food Bank, which conducts a food distribution every 3rd Saturday of the month.  We provide boxes of food, along with produce, baked goods, and a frozen protein food item.  We also offer home deliveries, currently serving 36 homebound and veteran clients.

In 2019, St. Raymond Food Bank joined a strategic alliance with the Alameda County Community Food Bank, which operates under the Feeding America program.  In 2020, we were approved as a U.S.D.A. organization, which allows us to receive free monthly deliveries of U.S.D.A. food products.

With the growth of the program, the Food Bank Committee is working to obtain a stand-alone structure to house the entire Food Bank operation and eliminate our footprint in the Hall.  Your support and strategic partnerships over the last five years have allowed us to save toward the purchase of a 24-foot by 50-foot Food Bank Building.

Please pray for our clients and volunteers.

Blessings, Maggie
