This week we celebrate the Sunday of the Lord’s Mercy. Jesus showed mercy to Thomas in his doubt, and He continues to show mercy to us today. Many people long for His compassion — the poor, the sick, our parish community, and even the Church itself.
Mercy is at the heart of Christ’s death and resurrection. On the cross He forgave; in the resurrection He revealed that love is stronger than sin and death. Through the Eucharist, we are not just remembering His sacrifice — we are being transformed by it.
St. Faustina Kowalska encouraged us to trust in God’s mercy and to share it through prayer, confession, and acts of kindness. She showed how God’s mercy can flow through each of us into the lives of others.
As members of St. Raymond Parish, we are called to live the mercy we celebrate: welcoming newcomers, visiting the sick, forgiving one another, supporting those in need, and reaching out to those who have drifted away. May the mercy we receive at the altar become the mercy we share each day.
Live Divine Mercy today: forgive, help, and care for others.
