Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Each year on February 11, on the Memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes, the Universal Church celebrates the World Day of the Sick. Here at Saint Raymond’s, we will also celebrate the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick on that day within the 12:15PM and the 6PM Masses.

We encourage you to invite any parishioner who may be ill, their caregivers, family and friends to join and celebrate with us.

In between the two (2) Masses on February 11, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed. Consider spending time with Jesus and offer prayers for healing of the sick members of Saint Raymond’s and the whole world.

These are wonderful opportunity to gather in a communal setting, whether in-person or online, and to offer our prayerful support to those who are ill, as well as those who care for them.

We wish to thank the members of the Ministry for the Homebound, and all the caregivers especially our frontliners. We likewise acknowledge our Rosary makers from Immaculate Heart of Mary in Brentwood, and the Order of Malta – Diocese of Oakland for providing Lourdes water, prayer petition cards and rosaries that we will safely make available after the Masses on February 11.

On that note of thanks, Bishop Barber and the Office of Mission Advancement convey their deepest gratitude to you for your support. Amidst a challenging 2020, Saint Raymond’s was able to reach 96.09% or $71,001.33 actual donations.

The 2021 Bishop’s Appeal will commence on the weekend of February 13th and 14th, starting before Ash Wednesday and Lent, and we will once again use the theme Rebuild My Church. As faithful stewards, I continue to call on you to support our Bishop and rebuilding the church entrusted to our charge.

Peace and blessings,

Fr. Erick
