God Bless our First Communion Candidates!

It is First Communion season once again, and we are excited to present to you our candidates receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist in the next two weeks!

Such blessing to see their faces on the back walls of the Church – beaming with so much joy and excitement … and I imagine, their parents, grandparents, siblings and teachers are equally, if not more, thrilled that these young ones are now about to partake in this gift of our Faith, Jesus Himself: Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity.

In anticipation of these amazing and blessed weekend Masses, please note that we encourage you to plan your participation (attendance at Mass) accordingly. The Church will be packed, and finding parking spots might be challenging.

Here are the Masses with “First Communion” for our candidates:

April 27: 5PM
April 28: 10:30AM
May 4: 5PM
May 5: 10:30AM, 12:30PM and 5PM

Reception of the Holy Eucharist is one of the greatest gifts God has given to us. Through the gift of Holy Communion, we are able to share a deep intimacy with Jesus. Let us commit to continue journeying with our young ones, and by our words and deeds, be examples for them to follow.  May this milestone for them be a moment for us to remember our first encounter with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist; and for us to more deeply appreciate the gift Jesus extends to us every time we are gathered at the Sacred Banquet.

SPECIAL PRAYER

Dear Lord, we thank You and praise You for the most precious gift of the Holy Eucharist. We ask You to bless all those who are preparing to receive Your Body and Blood for the first time.

You have provided for us richly through the gift of Your Body and Blood. Receiving the Holy Eucharist is a tremendous blessing, and we ask You to help all who are preparing to make their First Holy Communion. Help them to grow in love for You each day of our lives. Help them to always appreciate the great gifts You have given us for our salvation.

Lord, hear our prayer, especially for ____ (name your “First Communion” candidate/s here).

Amen
