Ramon’s Ordination as Deacon on August 14

Ramon, our be-dimpled seminarian (we discovered this only because of the “Shave the Beard” challenge, remember?), will be ordained as Deacon this Saturday, August 14 at the San Jose Mission Church in Fremont!

We are truly grateful to have been part of his journey to the priesthood, and the diaconate is one of the final steps … but really the beginning of a deeper commitment to a life of prayer and service.

I invite you to join us to pray for Ramon – offer a Rosary, spend an hour or two in front of the Blessed Sacrament, attend Mass with him in mind. We need not only good members of the clergy, but most especially holy ones who will be for you, the people go God, true reflections of Christ Jesus. We likewise ask the Blessed Mother who assumed to heaven to always cover Ramon, all our seminarians and priests with her mantle of protection. Now more than ever, we seek her powerful intercession and loving embrace to console us and give us hope.

Following is the link of the ordination scheduled at 10AM if you will not be able to join in-person. Later this weekend, Ramon (by then he will already be a Deacon!) will preach at the 5PM Vigil Mass and the 5PM Sunday Youth Mass. Join us and congratulate him in-person, meet his family and his seminary friends, and maybe say HI also to a special guest who is also a member of the Band Of Brothers!

Sono semipro grate,
Father Erick
