We Want HIM In Our Lives

In a few days, we will be celebrating our 60th Founding Anniversary as a parish. Established on June 10, 1961, Saint Raymond’s continues to thrive as a community of God’s holy people whose lives are beautifully intertwined in a tapestry of culture, tradition, values and Faith. As early as January this year, we have been celebrating … and we are drawing closer to the culmination of our festivities, with Bishop Michael Barber joining us for the anniversary Mass on June 12 at 5PM.

Such providence that leading to our founding anniversary is Corpus Christi Sunday where we honor the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Looking back, it is the Eucharist that kept us united, grounded and focused amidst the challenges of the pandemic. As a community, we did not give up or give in to the restrictions, but always find ways to celebrate the Eucharist – whether online, drive-by, outdoor, indoor, and everything in between – because we believe in His Real Presence, and we want Him in our lives!

We definitely still have things to overcome on the horizon, but as we look back and move forward, and as we anticipate the full re-opening of our Church doors for Sacraments and other liturgical services, we are filled with the hope and peace the Risen Christ has lovingly bestowed on His believers, knowing that God is with us through the Holy Spirit every step of the way, and in the Eucharist where He is truly and really present: Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. To celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, we will have a Eucharistic Procession immediately following the 12PM Mass on Sunday, June 6.

Sono semipro grate,
Father Erick
